About our Community
Umzansi Zulu Dancers is a professional group comprising select dancers from community teams of the Mchunu chiefdom. They call Msinga, KwaZulu-Natal their home and they work in Johannesburg. Most live in the George Goch Men’s Hostel while in the city. Dancing is a recreational weekend activity in and around the city’s hostels and a high prestige performance tradition at home, where men, women, youths, girls and children flock to the dance grounds to watch events.
